Job Description
Summary
Lead U.S. Senate IT/network operations, managing teams, budgets, and policies with extensive experience and security clearance.
This leadership position is critical for overseeing IT and network operations, policies, and staff within a U.S. Senate organization, ensuring the continuous delivery of essential services.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Establish and implement policies and practices for branch operations, services, and staff.
- Serve as acting Director in their absence.
- Lead or participate in inter-legislative branch user groups, task forces, and steering committees.
- Represent the organization in meetings with senior management across legislative bodies.
- Plan, direct, manage, and supervise programs and activities of multiple technical units.
- Plan, assign, and review the work of technical, professional, and managerial personnel.
- Manage multi-million-dollar annual budgets.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- *Working Environment & Clearance:**
- **Availability:** Requires working extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, for maintenance, upgrades, and essential service support. Must be available during government shutdowns and inclement weather as an "excepted" position.
- **On-Call:** Requires availability on-call or on-site within a 24-hour rotation.
- **Security Clearance:** Must obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government security clearance. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
