Summary
Conduct federal personnel background investigations, assessing trustworthiness and suitability for classified access or sensitive government positions.
This role involves conducting sensitive federal personnel background investigations to determine individual trustworthiness and suitability for classified information access, sensitive positions, or federal employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead federal personnel background investigations, often involving sensitive or controversial information, allegations, or hearsay.
- Evaluate individuals' trustworthiness for access to classified information, placement in sensitive positions, or federal employment.
- Identify suitability issues and mitigating circumstances, prepare thorough documentation, and substantiate investigative findings.
- Present comprehensive candidate information and findings to agency selection committees.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (or equivalent in the public/private sector).
