Interpreter

Join our team as a GS-14 Conference Interpreter, specializing in Arabic and English. This pivotal role requires an experienced professional to provide high-level simultaneous and consecutive interpretation.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Deliver conference-level simultaneous and consecutive interpretation from Arabic to English and English to Arabic.
• Interpret for senior government officials in critical settings, including one-on-one meetings, bilateral discussions, and press events.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• Minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, demonstrating expert proficiency in Arabic and English interpretation.
• In-depth knowledge of contemporary politics, economy, and international relations pertaining to Arabic-speaking countries.
• Prior experience in translation, interpretation, or other work requiring advanced use of both languages (e.g., intelligence, international organizations, academic roles).
• *Important Note:** All applicants are required to pass an agency-administered Arabic-English proficiency test prior to appointment. Education cannot substitute for the required specialized experience for this GS-14 position.
