Join our team as an International Trade Specialist/Analyst, contributing to trade policy and economic analysis across various industries. We are seeking professionals at multiple experience levels (GS-09 to GS-14).

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Analyze international trade dynamics, including goods, services, and economic factors.
  • Interpret and apply U.S. trade laws, agreements, and policies.
  • Collect, process, and analyze complex commodity and trade data.
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports and presentations on trade topics.
  • Plan, design, and lead trade-related projects and studies.
  • *Qualifications by Level:**
  • *GS-09:**
  • One year of specialized experience (GS-7 equivalent) in international trade, economic factors, data analysis, or U.S. trade laws.
  • **or** A Master's/equivalent graduate degree (or 2 years progressively higher-level education) in fields like chemistry, economics, international law, or related areas.
  • *GS-11:**
  • One year of specialized experience (GS-9 equivalent) **or** a Ph.D./equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field.
  • Specialized experience must include at least **one** of the following areas, with a focus on the **chemicals industry**:
* Knowledge of trade laws, regulations, market conditions, and competitiveness factors. * Economic and trade data collection, processing, and manipulation. * Preparing complex written materials for editorial/technical review. * Planning, designing, carrying out, and leading team projects.

  • *GS-12:**
  • One year of specialized experience (GS-11 equivalent) demonstrating proficiency in at least **two** of the GS-11 specialized experience areas, with a focus on the **chemicals industry**.
  • *GS-13:**
  • One year of specialized experience (GS-12 equivalent) demonstrating proficiency in at least **three** of the GS-11 specialized experience areas, with a focus on the **chemicals industry**.
  • *GS-14:**
  • One year of specialized experience (GS-13 equivalent) demonstrating proficiency in **all four** of the GS-11 specialized experience areas, with a specific focus on the **textile and apparel industries**.
  • *General Note:** Qualifying experience includes both paid and unpaid work; volunteer efforts are valued.
