Summary

Lead senior international policy analysis, strategy development, and external representation for global energy and foreign policy.

## Senior International Policy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to analyze, evaluate, and shape international energy and infrastructure policy. This role involves developing strategic recommendations for senior leadership and representing organizational interests in global and interagency forums.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate international energy, infrastructure policy, finance, and market trends.
  • Develop comprehensive policy options and strategic recommendations for senior leadership on international energy, national security, and foreign policy objectives.
  • Represent the organization in international and interagency settings, actively participating in discussions with foreign officials, federal agencies, and private industry to advance policy positions.
### Required Qualifications:
  • **Education:** Bachelor's degree (or 24 semester hours of relevant coursework) in International Law, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, History, Sociology, Geography, Social/Cultural Anthropology, Law, Statistics, or Humanities. Alternatively, 12 semester hours in one of the above, plus 12 semester hours in Statistics/Quantitative Methods.
  • **Professional Experience:**
* Four years of professional experience in international organizations, foreign affairs, or related fields. * Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of a foreign country or geographic area, gained through significant international experience (e.g., residence, study, teaching, business, government, military, or relief work). * **Advanced Specialized Experience:** At least one year of high-level specialized experience (equivalent to GS-13 federal service) performing *all* of the following: * Analyzing international energy/infrastructure policy, finance, or market trends. * Developing policy options and recommendations for senior leadership concerning international energy, national security, or foreign policy objectives. * Representing an organization in international or interagency settings to advance policy positions. * **Senior-Level Contribution:** Prior experience at a senior professional level (equivalent to GS-12 federal service or higher) involving either directing/coordinating research/analysis, or undertaking highly complex and responsible professional work in the specified fields.
