Summary

Seeking International Economic Analysts to conduct research, analyze trade data, and provide insights on global economic principles and policy.

We are seeking skilled International Economic Analysts to conduct in-depth research and analysis on global economic principles, trade policy, and industry competitiveness. This role involves comprehensive data collection, analytical problem-solving, and presenting findings to inform critical economic decisions.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Conduct substantive economic analysis, integrating research into studies and work products.
  • Plan and execute projects to collect detailed economic data from primary sources.
  • Determine data sources, select, and modify data processing and analysis techniques.
  • Formulate problems, hypothesize solutions, collect data, and draw sound conclusions.
  • Develop recommendations for initiating, expanding, or adjusting economic studies.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Foundational Knowledge:** In-depth understanding of international economic principles, theories, trade policy, and product/industry competitiveness.
  • *Experience Levels:**
  • **Entry-Level (GS-11 Equivalent):**
* One year of professional or academic experience in substantive economic analysis requiring a thorough understanding of economic issues and research integration. * *or* A Ph.D. in Economics providing academic preparation for professional work.
  • **Mid-Level (GS-12 Equivalent):**
* One year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-11) demonstrating project planning for data collection, making study recommendations, determining data sources/techniques, and comprehensive research (problem-solving, data collection, conclusions).
  • **Advanced-Level (GS-13 Equivalent):**
* One year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-12) including developing research plans, coordinating group activities, and planning the presentation of findings.
  • **Senior-Level (GS-14 Equivalent):**
* One year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-13) demonstrating the ability to plan and execute studies with unprecedented data or novel analytical solutions, independently evaluate complex factors, recommend project development, and manage multiple simultaneous studies.
