Job Description
Summary
Seeking International Economists to collect, analyze, and present global economic data and insights across multiple grade levels.
Join our team as an International Economist (GS-11/12/13) to analyze global economic data and inform policy. Responsibilities escalate with grade level.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect, clean, and interpret economic data from primary and official sources.
- Design and conduct surveys, including questionnaire development.
- Create detailed research reports and presentations for various stakeholders (internal, management, external).
- Utilize Excel and other data analysis tools to translate complex data into clear insights.
- (GS-13): Lead survey efforts and provide technical guidance to peers and junior economists.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor's or higher degree in Economics (min. 21 semester hours in economics, 3 in statistics, accounting, or calculus) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Transcripts required).
- Specialized Experience: One year of experience equivalent to the next lower Federal grade level (or comparable non-federal experience) demonstrating:
- Advanced Education: 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education or Ph.D. may substitute for GS-11 experience.
- Core Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international economic principles (e.g., trade policy, cross-border economic forces, industry competitiveness).
