Job Description
Summary
Lead advanced modeling and simulation for installed avionics systems, overseeing test programs and real-time battlespace environments.
We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead complex modeling and simulation efforts for advanced installed avionics systems. This role requires at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Apply deep expertise in Modeling and Simulation, specifically in generating modeled environments and simulating installed avionics systems.
- Examine and manage real-time battlespace environment modeling, including threat simulation, instrumentation, processing, computation, and networking.
- Provide project management, resource allocation, budgeting, and technical oversight for test programs and development initiatives.
- Implement and manage distributed simulation, installed systems testing, aircraft systems, training systems, simulation cueing technology, and aircraft avionics systems.
- Determine test requirements and ensure the Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) of test configurations within an Installed Systems Test Facility (ISTF).
- *Requirements:**
- Demonstrated experience with Modeling and Simulation for avionics and battlespace environments.
- Proven ability in project management, including budgeting and technical leadership.
- Hands-on experience with distributed simulation and installed systems testing.
- Proficiency in determining test requirements and VV&A processes.
