Interdisciplinary General/Electronics/Electrical Engineer/Physicist

We are seeking a highly experienced Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) Systems Engineer or Physicist. This role requires a minimum of one year of specialized experience at the GS-12/13 Federal level or equivalent in the private or public sector.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Lead and manage teams of engineers and scientists, providing mentorship and fostering professional growth.
• Define clear task expectations, delegate responsibilities, and ensure strategic vision alignment within the team.
• Drive the full lifecycle management of EO/IR systems and subsystems, from development to production.
• Develop, derive, and verify system and subsystem specifications based on operational requirements.
• Contribute to flight test and evaluation master plans, defining analysis strategies and negotiating with stakeholders.
• Oversee the integration of EO/IR and other avionics/sensor systems with platform interfaces.
• Identify and mitigate production risks for EO/IR components, optimizing timelines.
• Serve as a primary technical expert in the EO/IR domain, advising program managers on best practices and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership and industry partners to align priorities, communicate technology needs, and inform R&D efforts.
• Provide engineering subject matter expertise to OEMs and program office stakeholders, balancing performance, cost, and schedule.
