Summary

Seeking an Interdisciplinary Engineer to apply software engineering principles and oversee SDLC for defense acquisition systems.

We are seeking an Interdisciplinary Engineer to contribute to complex defense acquisition systems. This role involves applying advanced engineering principles and overseeing critical software development and technical support functions.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Apply software engineering and analysis principles to complex defense acquisition programs.
  • Oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for major acquisition initiatives.
  • Provide technical support for embedded software, missile systems, and sensor technologies.
  • Review contracts for contractor compliance and advise on application/development changes.
  • Lead engineering/analytical surveillance on substantive changes and implement agency policies.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • *Basic Requirement:**
  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Professional Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent coursework.
  • *or* A combination of college-level education, training, and/or technical experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of engineering principles.
  • *or* Professional registration (Engineer Intern, Engineer in Training, or Professional Engineer) or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.
  • *or* Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours in physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences fully acceptable toward a professional engineering curriculum.
  • *or* A Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field (e.g., Engineering Technology, Physics, Computer Science) combined with at least one year of professional engineering experience under supervision.
  • *Specialized Experience (NH-03 Level):**
  • One year of experience equivalent to the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level. This experience must include:
* Applying software engineering/analysis in complex defense acquisition systems. * Overseeing SDLC for major acquisition programs. * Providing technical support for embedded software, missile systems, and sensor technologies. * Reviewing contracts for compliance and providing technical advice on changes. * Leading engineering/analytical surveillance and implementing agency policies.
