Expert in Mechanical and Drive Systems for DoD RDT&E of aircraft, applying advanced engineering and acquisition strategies.

Join a team dedicated to improving Federal government efficiency and upholding constitutional principles. We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) to advance our Manned and Unmanned Aircraft Systems through cutting-edge Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E).

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Drives and Mechanical Systems, including engine mechanical systems, gearboxes, drive shafts, clutches, and propulsion bearings.
  • Apply expertise in DoD acquisition policy and strategy to RDT&E solutions.
  • Utilize advanced engineering tools such as modeling & simulation, model-based systems engineering, set-based design, and live virtual constructive environments.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • Demonstrated SME experience in Drives and Mechanical Systems technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition policy and strategy for RDT&E of Manned and Unmanned Aircraft/Aircraft Systems.
  • Proficiency with RDT&E tools including modeling & simulation, model-based systems engineering, set-based design, and/or live virtual constructive environments.
  • Professional Engineering background (e.g., OPM 08XX series).
