Job Description
Summary
Senior professional to manage aviation certification, oversee RDT&E programs, and provide expert consultation.
This role supports critical aviation certification processes and provides oversight for significant research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) programs. You will leverage your expertise to ensure the safety and functionality of aviation systems and drive strategic initiatives.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Support the issuance of AW certification products and Flight Clearances for all aviation systems in accordance with NAVAIR responsibilities.
- Lead or oversee major programs related to research, development, testing, evaluation, innovation, and reengineering efforts.
- Serve as a consultant to subject matter experts (SMEs), high-level committees, and senior management on critical projects.
- Contribute to the creation of impactful presentations, patents, and professional articles.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum of one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level in Federal service, or comparable experience in the private or public sector.
- Demonstrated experience supporting aviation certification and Flight Clearance processes.
- Proven ability to develop and/or oversee major RDT&E, innovation, or reengineering programs.
- Experience consulting with and advising senior leadership and subject matter experts.
- A track record of contributing to significant professional outputs such as presentations, patents, or articles.
