Summary
Lead software architecture and engineering projects, providing strategic technical guidance and managing complex resources for critical agency initiatives.
We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineering and Architecture Lead to guide critical projects and provide strategic technical expertise. This role involves significant leadership, technical development, and resource management within a complex operational environment.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Support leadership in the strategic planning and management of critical assets, including personnel, processes, materiel, facilities, financial planning, and resource allocation.
- Serve as a technical expert in software engineering and architecture, designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems of systems for test or training applications, with a specific focus on data analysis.
- Provide expert technical and programmatic advice to leadership, and mentor developmental employees on technical and career matters, identifying training needs.
- Direct major projects or programs, overseeing significant system developments or high-impact technology-based research crucial to agency needs.
- Align resource planning for large-scale engineering endeavors, potentially involving substantial industrial base expenditure and long-range agency financial commitments.
- *Qualifications:**
- Requires at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12/13 federal grade level, or comparable experience in the private or public sector.
- Specialized experience must demonstrate proficiency in the key responsibilities listed above.
- Experience includes both paid and unpaid work, such as volunteer programs, which contribute to building critical competencies and skills.
