Job Description
Lead engineering project coordination, planning, and design to ensure successful operational outcomes.
This role involves leading and managing complex engineering projects from initial concept through final design, ensuring seamless integration of user operations and organizational missions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Coordinate, administer, plan, and design engineering projects.
* Ensure user operations and organizational missions are successfully incorporated.
**Qualifications:**
**1. Education:**
* **Professional Engineering Path:** A degree in professional engineering from an ABET-accredited program; OR a curriculum including differential/integral calculus and advanced courses in five of seven specified engineering science/physics areas; OR a combination of education and experience demonstrating thorough engineering knowledge (evidenced by professional registration, written test, specific academic courses, related curriculum, or supervisory verification of professional engineering duties).
* **Community Planning/Related Path:** A Bachelor's degree in Community Planning or related fields (e.g., urban affairs, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, sociology, geography, economics, political science, public administration) with at least 12 semester hours in planning processes, socioeconomic/physical planning elements, urban/regional economic analysis, and development finance; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (24+ semester hours in relevant disciplines, including 12+ in planning processes).
**2. Specialized Experience:**
* One year of experience equivalent to the GS-12 federal grade level (or comparable responsibility outside Federal service).
* Experience must specifically involve coordinating, administering, planning, and designing engineering projects from concept to final design to ensure successful incorporation of user operations and missions.
**3. Other:**
* Volunteer experience that builds relevant competencies, knowledge, and skills will be credited.
