Summary
Lead special education program development and ensure compliance with IDEA regulations for PK-12 settings.
Join our team as an Instructional Systems Specialist dedicated to enhancing Special Education programs. This role involves leading program development, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and driving continuous improvement across PK-12 settings.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead the development of special education programs at district, state, or federal levels.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct systematic reviews of special education programs to maintain procedural fidelity and legal compliance (PK-12).
- Collaborate with diverse teams to develop policies, procedures, and operational guidance for students with disabilities.
- Interpret federal and agency regulations to resolve complex compliance issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
- *Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree or higher, including at least 24 semester hours in four of the following five areas: Learning Theory, Instructional Design Practices, Educational Evaluation, Instructional Product Development, or Computers in Education and Training. (Transcripts are required).
- **Experience:** A minimum of one year of specialized experience (equivalent to federal GS-12) demonstrating leadership in special education program development, IDEA compliance monitoring, program review, policy collaboration, and regulatory interpretation. (Experience cannot be substituted with education).
