Job Description

Summary

Instructional Systems Specialist designs educational programs, develops PreK-12 special education policy, and evaluates program standards for federal service.

As an Instructional Systems Specialist, you will apply expertise in educational design and special education policy to federal programs.

  • *Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:**
  • **Eligibility:** Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • **Education:**
* Bachelor's degree or higher, including at least 24 semester hours in instruction-related coursework. * Coursework must cover at least four of these five areas: learning theory, instructional design practices, educational evaluation, instructional product development, or computers in education and training. * **Required:** Submit ALL official transcripts with your application; failure to do so will result in rejection.
  • **Specialized Experience:**
* One year of specialized experience developing PreK-12 special education policies. * Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on special education matters. * Reviewing performance and/or program standards. * Experience must be at an above PreK-12 school level (e.g., district, state, federal, central office).
  • **Important Note:** Education cannot be substituted for the specialized experience requirement.
