Job Description

Summary

Seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to lead complex cyber/IT programs, manage risk, ensure accreditation, and provide expert technical guidance.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to provide expert technical leadership and oversight for complex cybersecurity, information technology (IT), and knowledge management (KM) programs.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for highly complex cyber, IT, and KM activities.
  • Develop and implement new theories, concepts, principles, and methods in cybersecurity.
  • Coordinate and integrate IT programs across various internal and external organizations.
  • Manage risk, system accreditation, special access programs, and policy enforcement (e.g., JSIG).
  • Advise on cyber/IT system architectures, life-cycle processes, integration, and interoperability.
  • Lead teams in identifying and defending requirements, managing projects, and meeting mission objectives.
  • Serve as a senior consultant, preparing briefings and reports for high-level management and military officials.
  • *Requirements:**
  • **Education or Experience:**
* Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, IT Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Technology Management, or a related field with a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of these areas. * OR IT-related experience demonstrating core competencies.
  • **Core Competencies (for all IT positions):**

  • **Specialized Experience:**
* Minimum of 1 year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-13) in: * Risk Management * System Accreditation * Special Access Programs (SAPs) * Collaboration Skills * Cloud Technologies * Policy Enforcement * Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG)
  • **Technical Skills:**
* Expert knowledge in cyber/IT systems architectures, life-cycle processes, integration, and interoperability. * Strong ability to conduct substantial coordination among diverse organizations and high-level managers. * Knowledge of DoD financial planning, acquisition planning, and contracting methodologies. * Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to brief senior military and government officials.
