Summary
Protect DoD systems as an Information Assurance Specialist, ensuring cybersecurity compliance and conducting vital security reviews.
This position requires a highly skilled Information Assurance (IA) Specialist at the GS-12 equivalent level to safeguard Department of Defense (DoD) systems and networks.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Independently perform Information Assurance (IA) activities, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of DoD systems.
- Conduct comprehensive security reviews of application designs, software development, source code, and system deployments.
- Ensure system, tool, and application compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements, NIST security controls, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Utilize cybersecurity tools for vulnerability scanning, system monitoring, incident detection, and support remediation efforts.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of RMF authorization packages, including System Security Plans and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- *Qualifications:**
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, performing the responsibilities listed above.
- Must possess Information Technology (IT)-related experience demonstrating proficiency in the following four competencies:
- Applicants must meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 2210 series.
- Qualifying experience includes both paid and unpaid work, such as volunteer service.
