Job Description

IT Cybersecurity Specialists sought to apply risk management principles and ensure compliance at varying experience levels.
This role seeks IT professionals with strong analytical and communication skills to support cybersecurity and risk management efforts. We are looking for candidates at two levels: **Core Competencies (Required for all levels):** * **Attention to Detail:** Thoroughly review access logs and attend to critical details. * **Customer Service:** Assess client needs, provide support, and resolve issues (e.g., application migration recommendations). * **Oral Communication:** Clearly convey information and provide guidance to management, peers, and end-users. * **Problem Solving:** Identify problems, evaluate solutions, and resolve or escalate detected issues by monitoring logs and reports. **Experience Requirements:** **For NH-04 (Senior Level):** * **Specialized Experience:** One year equivalent to GS-13 (federal) or comparable private/public sector experience. * **Key Responsibilities:** * Execute comprehensive cybersecurity oversight. * Conduct risk assessments and validate Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls. * Guide system owners through Authority to Operate (ATO) processes. * Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and minimize residual risk. **For NH-03 (Mid-Level):** * **Specialized Experience:** One year equivalent to GS-11 (federal) or comparable private/public sector IT experience. * **Key Responsibilities:** * Support cybersecurity operations. * Apply Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles. * Review system security controls. * Assist with risk assessments to maintain compliance and reduce system vulnerabilities. *Experience refers to paid, unpaid, and volunteer work.*
