Information Technology Specialist (Infosec)

This role involves supporting critical IT operations with an emphasis on cybersecurity and system integrity. We are seeking professionals at two experience levels: NH-04 (GS-13 equivalent) and NH-03 (GS-11 equivalent).

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• **Attention to Detail:** Thoroughly review work, analyze access logs for suspicious activity, and ensure accuracy.
• **Customer Service:** Assess stakeholder needs, provide support, and resolve issues; evaluate requests and offer recommendations.
• **Oral Communication:** Effectively convey technical and sensitive information, providing clear guidance to management, peers, and users.
• **Problem Solving:** Identify, analyze, and resolve IT issues; monitor logs and reports to detect and escalate problems.
• *Qualifications by Level:**
• *NH-04 (Equivalent to GS-13):**
• One year of specialized experience (NH-3/GS-13 equivalent) in:

* Identifying cyber vulnerabilities and assessing threats. * Recommending effective mitigation strategies. * Applying computer networking concepts, protocols, and security methodologies.

• *NH-03 (Equivalent to GS-11):**
• One year of specialized IT experience (NH-2/GS-11 equivalent) in:

* Assessing network and systems security for weaknesses. * Monitoring risk, compliance, and assurance efforts. * Recommending appropriate security measures.

Experience includes paid, unpaid, and volunteer work that builds relevant skills.
