Summary
HR Specialist manages workers' compensation claims, advises leadership, and investigates cases at GS-11/12 levels.
Join our team as a Human Resources Specialist with a focus on Workers' Compensation. We are seeking dedicated professionals at the GS-11 and GS-12 levels to manage claims, advise leadership, and ensure program compliance.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Process and manage workers' compensation claims.
- Provide expert guidance and advice to management on claim procedures and policies.
- Conduct local investigations to gather facts on questionable claims.
- *For GS-12:* Advise on complex or controversial workers' compensation claims and recommend system or program improvements.
- *Qualifications:**
- *GS-11 Level:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level, directly related to workers' compensation claims management, advising, or investigations.
- **Education (Substitution):** Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education.
- **Combination:** A combination of qualifying specialized experience and graduate education may be accepted.
- *GS-12 Level:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, including advising on complex workers' compensation claims and recommending program modifications.
- **Education:** No education substitution at this level.
- *General Requirements:**
- Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements, including time-in-grade (if applicable) and minimum qualifications by the closing date.
- All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited towards meeting the requirements.
