Human Resources Specialist

Join our team as a Human Resources Specialist with a focus on Workers' Compensation. We are seeking dedicated professionals at the GS-11 and GS-12 levels to manage claims, advise leadership, and ensure program compliance.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Process and manage workers' compensation claims.
• Provide expert guidance and advice to management on claim procedures and policies.
• Conduct local investigations to gather facts on questionable claims.
• *For GS-12:* Advise on complex or controversial workers' compensation claims and recommend system or program improvements.
• *Qualifications:**
• *GS-11 Level:**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level, directly related to workers' compensation claims management, advising, or investigations.
• **Education (Substitution):** Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education.
• **Combination:** A combination of qualifying specialized experience and graduate education may be accepted.
• *GS-12 Level:**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, including advising on complex workers' compensation claims and recommending program modifications.
• **Education:** No education substitution at this level.
• *General Requirements:**
• Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements, including time-in-grade (if applicable) and minimum qualifications by the closing date.
• All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited towards meeting the requirements.
