Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a Human Resources Specialist/Advisor with expertise in employee relations and performance management. This role involves providing critical HR support, from direct advisement to strategic program administration, leveraging HR data systems for effective operations.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Provide accurate advisory and technical assistance to employees and management on a range of HR program areas, including leave, telework, hours of work, compensation, union matters, performance management, and conduct/discipline.
• Assist in or administer human resources operating programs and complete special projects.
• Research issues, develop, and present recommendations to resolve routine to complex human resources management issues.
• Utilize human resources data systems and applications to enter, analyze personnel data, produce reports, ensure data integrity, and improve work efficiency.
• *Required Experience:**
• **Specialized Experience:** A minimum of one year of specialized experience in human resources at a level equivalent to GS-7 or higher, focused on employee relations, performance management, leave, and awards.
• Experience should demonstrate a progression in responsibility, from providing direct technical assistance to offering comprehensive management advisory services and resolving complex HR issues.
• Proficiency in HR data system utilization for data entry, analysis, reporting, and maintaining data integrity.
• *Note on Experience:** Both paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through various organizations, will be credited towards qualifying experience.
