Summary

Manages automated personnel and payroll actions, resolves errors, and provides guidance on HR/payroll regulations.

Join our team as a Human Resources and Payroll Specialist, responsible for managing personnel and payroll actions within an automated system. This role involves precise processing, error resolution, and providing expert guidance on HR and payroll regulations to internal and external stakeholders.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Process personnel and payroll actions efficiently using automated systems.
  • Proactively identify and correct recurring errors in processing.
  • Interpret and provide clear guidance on processing laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • *Qualifications:**

Candidates must meet one of the following:

  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level (or comparable responsibility) that includes:
* Automated personnel/payroll processing. * Identifying and correcting processing errors. * Interpreting and guiding on HR/payroll laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • **Education:** A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education; or an LL.M. (if related).
  • **Combination:** An equivalent combination of qualifying experience and education.
  • Note: Federal candidates must meet specific time-in-grade requirements.*
