Job Description
Seeking an experienced IT leader to provide strategic technology guidance for Department of the Air Force programs.
Join us as a Highly Qualified Expert (HQE) to provide strategic IT leadership and guidance for Department of the Air Force (DAF) programs. This pivotal role involves shaping future technology initiatives and representing DAF interests at key industry and military forums.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and consult on critical DoD IT programs and initiatives.
* Represent DAF at military IT leadership sessions, industry councils, and conferences.
* Effectively communicate highly technical concepts and emerging technologies to senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
* Significant experience in strategic Information Technology (IT), covering:
* IT infrastructure development and management.
* Systems integration, IT acquisition, and vendor management.
* IT lifecycle management, hardware, and software development.
* Deep strategic knowledge in advanced technologies, including:
* Networking (Zero Trust), Cloud, and DevSecOps.
* Data strategies, Kubernetes/Containerization, AI/ML.
* Ability to stay current with relevant IT advancements.
* Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
This HQE position serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Official, contributing across various technical and business fields.
