Job Description
Seeking a Health Physicist with experience in radioactive material permits, storage, transport, and safety inspections.
Join our team as a Health Physicist (GS-1306-13) to manage and ensure radiation safety. This role demands specific experience in radioactive material handling and oversight.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Review and approve Radioactive Material Permits.
* Oversee the safe storage and transportation of radiation materials.
* Perform comprehensive radiation safety inspections.
**Qualifications:**
* **Specialized Experience:** A minimum of one year of experience (equivalent to the GS-12 level) directly involving the review of radioactive material permits, management of radiation material storage/transport, and conducting radiation safety inspections. *Education cannot substitute for this experience.*
* **Education/Certification (One of the following):**
* Bachelor's or higher degree in natural science or engineering, including at least 30 semester hours in relevant fields such as health physics, engineering, radiological science, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, and/or calculus.
* A combination of relevant education and experience.
* Certification as a Health Physicist by the American Board of Health Physics, supplemented by appropriate experience and education.
**Eligibility:** US Citizenship Required.
