Summary

Manage and coordinate Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) requests, ensuring compliance and accurate responses.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) requests. This role requires precision in processing information and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Coordinate the processing and response to all FOIA and PA requests.
  • Draft clear and concise outgoing responses for FOIA inquiries.
  • Accurately identify and apply appropriate FOIA exemptions and redactions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to FOIA activities and other assignments.
  • *(For GS-13 level)* Provide expert advice and guidance to team members on FOIA methods, practices, and procedures.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **For GS-12 Level:**
* One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. * Experience must include coordinating FOIA/PA requests, drafting responses, identifying exemptions/redactions, and preparing related reports.
  • **For GS-13 Level:**
* One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level. * Demonstrated ability to perform duties with minimal oversight. * Expertise in identifying appropriate FOIA exemptions and redactions. * Experience providing advice to team members on FOIA processes.
  • **General Specialized Experience (Applicable to both levels):** Implementing FOIA policies and procedures, managing government information, and providing information-related assistance and services.
