Summary
Seeking a General Engineer to manage military construction and DoD projects, requiring a professional engineering degree and specialized experience.
We are seeking a General Engineer to manage complex construction projects. This role requires a strong engineering background and hands-on experience in project oversight.
- *Responsibilities:**
- Manage Military Construction (MILCON), Military Family Housing, Construction, or DoD Base Closure projects.
- Participate in project design review charrettes and meetings.
- Assist in developing construction project requirements and scope.
- Conduct site visits to monitor contract adherence for assigned projects.
- *Requirements:**
- *A. Basic Qualification:**
- **Education:** A Bachelor's Degree or higher in professional engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or a curriculum including differential and integral calculus and advanced courses in five of seven specified engineering science/physics areas.
- **or Combination of Education and Experience:** College-level education, training, and/or technical experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of physical/mathematical sciences underlying professional engineering, and a practical understanding of engineering sciences. This must be shown by one of the following:
- *B. Specialized Experience (for GS-13 level):**
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or private sector.
- Creditable experience includes: Managing MILCON, Military Family Housing, Construction, or DoD Base Closure projects; participating in design reviews; assisting in developing project requirements and scope; and conducting site visits to monitor contract adherence.
