Summary
Lead weapon system engineering, development, and acquisition processes with specialized technical and programmatic expertise.
Join our team as an experienced Engineer, overseeing critical weapon system development and acquisition. This role requires a professional to ensure technical and programmatic excellence, providing authoritative guidance and contributing to strategic planning.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide expert engineering and technical advice on program and mission documentation, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Contribute to the design and development of new systems, assessing technology and concepts for operational viability.
- Integrate cost estimates with comprehensive program plans (schedules, testing, potential issues) for acquisition budgeting.
- Direct the development of contract engineering specifications defining system requirements and parameters.
- Guide personnel in planning and developing test and evaluation strategies.
- Organize and execute weapon system technical reviews, evaluating system development, production, and resource allocation.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- A minimum of one year of specialized experience at the GS-12/13 (DP-04) Federal grade level or equivalent in the public or private sector.
- Specialized experience must include:
- Volunteer experience that builds relevant competencies, knowledge, and skills will be considered.
