General Engineer

Join our team as an experienced Engineer, overseeing critical weapon system development and acquisition. This role requires a professional to ensure technical and programmatic excellence, providing authoritative guidance and contributing to strategic planning.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Provide expert engineering and technical advice on program and mission documentation, ensuring all requirements are met.
• Contribute to the design and development of new systems, assessing technology and concepts for operational viability.
• Integrate cost estimates with comprehensive program plans (schedules, testing, potential issues) for acquisition budgeting.
• Direct the development of contract engineering specifications defining system requirements and parameters.
• Guide personnel in planning and developing test and evaluation strategies.
• Organize and execute weapon system technical reviews, evaluating system development, production, and resource allocation.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• A minimum of one year of specialized experience at the GS-12/13 (DP-04) Federal grade level or equivalent in the public or private sector.
• Specialized experience must include:

* Developing and reviewing engineering and technical program documentation. * Assessing technology and system concepts for new system development and operational needs. * Integrating cost estimates into acquisition program plans and budgets. * Directing contract engineering specifications and test/evaluation plans. * Organizing technical reviews and assessing system development and resource management.
