Summary
Seeking an attorney to provide expert legal counsel on complex federal issues for OIG operations.
Join our team as an Attorney, providing expert legal counsel on complex issues within the Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide legal opinions and memoranda on intricate legal issues pertinent to OIG audits, investigations, inspections, and reviews.
- Address diverse legal areas, including criminal, financial, national security, and ethics.
- Analyze complex legal problems, interpret statutes, and develop sound legal decisions and recommendations.
- Coordinate program efforts internally and externally, representing the OIG to key stakeholders.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an accredited institution.
- **Bar Membership:** Active admission in good standing to the bar of any U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, District of Columbia, or Federal Court.
- **Specialized Experience:** At least one year of experience at the GS-15 grade level (or equivalent) in providing legal opinions/memoranda on complex issues relevant to OIG operations.
