Summary

Seeking an experienced General Counsel to provide strategic legal leadership and ensure compliance for a large federal agency.

This senior-level legal position seeks a General Counsel to provide strategic legal leadership and oversight for a large federal agency.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Provide high-level legal advice and guidance across various agency operations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations.
  • Strategically manage resources, budgets, and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing legal team.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external high-level officials.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • 5-10 years of post-JD high-level legal experience, preferably within a large organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and a strong commitment to the Rule of Law.
  • Extensive knowledge of law and regulations applicable to federal agencies, including:
* Access to Information (FOIA, Privacy Acts) * Administration, Appropriations, Audit, Budget, Fiscal * Facilities, Intellectual Property, Information Technology * Legislation, Personnel, Procurement, Records, Regulatory, Security
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across dispersed organizations (e.g., DOJ components).
  • Exceptional ability to produce high-quality, reliable legal work.
  • Demonstrated capacity to achieve individual and organizational results.
