In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in re-architecting GEICO's core billing platform from the ground up, significantly enhancing its scalability and efficiency. Our platform manages critical financial transactions and customer interactions, including invoicing, payment processing, commissions, collections, and subscription management.
- *Responsibilities:**
- Architect and implement highly scalable, high-performance frontend solutions.
- Drive technical decisions and best practices for frontend development across teams.
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and user experience.
- Design and maintain robust design systems and component libraries.
- Contribute to long-term technical roadmaps and product strategy.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior and senior engineers.
- Lead code reviews and promote best practices in frontend development.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the engineering team.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- *Minimum Requirements:**
- 12+ years of proven experience in frontend development, leading large-scale projects.
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Deep understanding of modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Extensive experience with state management, build tools, and testing frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- *Compensation & Benefits:**
- **Annual Salary Range:** $115,000.00 - $260,000.00 (based on experience, education, and market factors).
