Front End Manager-Wheaton

• *Core Responsibilities:**
• Champion and implement company customer service programs, resolving complaints positively.
• Provide excellent customer service, perform checking duties, and supervise cash register functions.
• Direct and supervise all front-end activities, including monitoring customer traffic, service levels, cleanliness, and supply management.
• Manage cash flow, safe transactions, register tills, check approvals, refunds, and troubleshoot scan system issues.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and monitoring front-end and courtesy clerks.
• Make recommendations for employment status changes and disciplinary actions to the Store Director.
• Achieve budget goals for labor, cash variation, check expense, and supplies.
• Ensure cost and quality control while maintaining customer and employee safety.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and dress/grooming standards for all employees.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• Strong communication, leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and project a positive public image.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting PCs and check stand equipment (printers, scales, scanners, registers).
• Knowledge of interviewing techniques, basic employment law, computer software, and administrative planning/scheduling.
• Ability to supervise, analyze facts, and make hiring/disciplinary recommendations.
• In-depth understanding of Front End policies, procedures, and business activity.
• Mental alertness for safe and accurate work, knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 55 lbs, and stand/walk for long periods.
• Basic mathematics and weights/measures knowledge.
