Front End Engineer, Senior

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Front End Engineer to join our internal Product engineering team, focusing on cutting-edge AI-driven cybersecurity solutions. This role involves transforming UI/UX designs into high-performance, user-centric interfaces within our React-based applications.

• *What You'll Do:**
• Translate wireframes and designs into responsive, intuitive user interfaces using React and modern libraries.
• Integrate front-end applications with API Gateway-based micro-services, managing data fetching, state, and API interactions.
• Configure and deploy applications on AWS S3 for static web hosting, implementing Cognito for secure user authentication.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and optimal performance through best practices.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, back-end engineers, and product managers to iterate on features and align with product goals.
• Stay current with front-end trends to continuously enhance product usability and drive growth.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• 5+ years of front-end engineering experience, including building complex web applications.
• Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and state management tools (e.g., Redux, Context API).
• Experience connecting front-end applications to RESTful APIs or micro-services via API Gateway.
• Knowledge of AWS S3 for static hosting and Cognito for authentication.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver user-focused solutions that contribute to product success.
• Ability to provide work samples.
• HS diploma or GED.
• *Preferred Qualifications:**
• Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Experience with Next.js, Gatsby, or other React-based frameworks.
• Experience mentoring teams and leading front-end projects, especially in cybersecurity or AI-driven product environments.
• Proficiency in unit testing (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library) and performance tools (e.g., Lighthouse).
• Excellent collaboration skills for agile, cross-functional team settings.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence.
