Summary
Develop responsive, accessible front-ends using React/TypeScript for an enterprise data/AI platform, requiring Secret clearance.
SAIC is seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer to develop and evolve the user interface for a critical enterprise data and AI platform, supporting government modernization efforts.

- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and maintain the front-end architecture and codebase for an enterprise data platform.
- Translate high-fidelity Figma designs into responsive, accessible, high-performance UI components.
- Build interactive visualizations, including map views, timeline overlays, confidence metrics, filtering/search panels, and metadata catalog tables.
- Implement components in Storybook to align with design systems and ensure consistent UI behavior.
- Optimize for best-in-class performance, accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA, Section 508, USWDS).
- Write automated front-end tests to ensure reliability and demo fidelity.
- Participate in agile sprint cycles, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate on CI/CD integration for front-end builds, linting, and code-quality checks.
- Establish and enforce front-end coding standards, documentation, and component library best practices.
- Support demo preparation and client briefings.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of front-end development experience in enterprise or mission environments.
- Proven proficiency in React, TypeScript, Storybook, and standard build/code-quality tools.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA, Section 508) and usability best practices.
- Solid understanding of state management patterns and data-driven UI.
- Demonstrated experience building responsive, cross-browser interfaces and data-intensive applications (dashboards, charts, tables).
- Proficiency in automated testing (unit, component, end-to-end).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Security-conscious mindset for mission-critical contexts (e.g., CUI/IL4).
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in DoD, IC, or government modernization efforts.
- Experience integrating front-ends with data pipelines or analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with front-end DevSecOps practices.
