Financial Specialist

This role is for a Financial Specialist within the Federal Service, with opportunities at both the GS-9 and GS-11 levels. We are seeking candidates with strong financial acumen and analytical skills to contribute to our team.

• Conduct financial forecasting and analyze data.
• Review general ledgers and verify accounting transactions.
• Resolve financial payment issues.
• Manage program compliance and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Develop recommendations and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with banking and financial partners.
• *Qualifications:**
• *For GS-9 Level:**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level, including financial forecast preparation, general ledger review, accounting transaction verification, and payment issue resolution.
• **Education:** A Master's or equivalent graduate degree; or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education; or an LL.B. or J.D. directly related to the position.
• **Combination:** A combination of qualifying education and experience may be accepted.
• *For GS-11 Level:**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level, including financial data analysis, program compliance management, developing recommendations and process updates, and collaborating with banking and financial partners.
• **Education:** A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education; or an LL.M. directly related to the position.
• **Combination:** A combination of qualifying education and experience may be accepted.
• *General Requirements:**
• All qualifying experience, including paid, unpaid, and volunteer work (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, professional, philanthropic, community service), will be fully credited. Please note hours worked per week for part-time/unpaid experience.
