Summary
Skilled Financial Management Specialist to oversee federal budget administration, analysis, and advisement, requiring GS-11 equivalent experience.
This role requires a highly experienced financial professional to manage and advise on comprehensive budget administration for federal programs. You will leverage your expertise in financial systems, including Navy ERP, to formulate, present, and defend budget estimates. Key responsibilities include evaluating budget requests, reporting on expenditures, analyzing financial management alternatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory controls. You will also provide strategic advice on fund acquisition and utilization to support organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in federal, private, or public sector.
- Proven knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Navy ERP) and budget administration phases.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate, present, and defend budgets, evaluate requests, and report on expenditures.
- Experience in financial analysis, cost/benefit assessment, and implementing regulatory financial controls.
- Proficiency in advising on effective fund acquisition and utilization.
- Experience includes paid and unpaid work, such as volunteer service.
