## Financial Analyst (Auditor)

We are seeking a dedicated Financial Analyst (Auditor) to conduct in-depth financial and accounting data analysis, prepare comprehensive reports, and deliver clear presentations of findings.

### Key Responsibilities (May vary by GS level):

  • Collect, compile, and meticulously analyze diverse financial and accounting data.
  • Prepare clear, concise written reports summarizing complex financial information and audit findings.
  • Present financial and accounting information, adapting technical details for various audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
  • For higher levels (GS-13/14), conduct complex financial evaluations, detailed process verifications, and formulate impactful decisions and recommendations.
### Qualifications:

#### Basic Requirements:

  • **Education:** A degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration) that includes or is supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in accounting (up to 6 hours may be in business law).
  • **or Combination:** At least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training demonstrating professional accounting knowledge, *plus* one of the following:
* 24 semester hours in accounting or auditing courses (up to 6 hours business law). * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification obtained through written examination. * Completion of a degree with substantial accounting/auditing coursework (e.g., 15 semester hours), successful full-performance work in accounting/auditing, and demonstrated equivalent knowledge as determined by professional accountants.

#### Specialized Experience (in addition to Basic Requirements):

  • **GS-12 Level:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11, involving financial/accounting data collection, compilation, analysis, report preparation, and presentation for investigations.
  • **GS-13 Level:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12, focusing on complex financial/accounting data analysis, evaluations, report preparation, and accessible presentations of information.
  • **GS-14 Level:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-13, involving making impactful decisions/recommendations, detailed process verification, complex analysis, and clear presentations of financial information.
  • *Note:** Both paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work, will be credited towards qualifying experience.
