Job Description
Summary
Seeking a Financial/Budget Analyst to perform financial analysis, interpret policies, and advise on budget and program adjustments.
We are seeking skilled financial professionals to manage and analyze budgets and financial programs. This role involves critical financial oversight and strategic advising.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- *At GS-11 Level:**
- Review financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze how changes in program plans affect financial budget milestones.
- Identify and resolve problems and discrepancies in financial reports.
- *At GS-12 Level (includes GS-11 duties plus):**
- Analyze budget and financial program data to develop annual and multi-year budget estimates.
- Research, review, and interpret financial policies.
- Advise agency staff on the implications of policy and programmatic adjustments on costs and budgets.
- Develop policies, goals, and objectives for financial programs.
- *Minimum Qualifications:**
- **GS-11 Level:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-9, which includes reviewing financial reports, analyzing program plan changes on budgets, and identifying financial discrepancies.
- **GS-12 Level:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11, which includes analyzing budget/financial data for estimates, researching/interpreting financial policies, advising on policy/program adjustments, and developing program policies.
- All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Volunteer experience (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) counts towards qualifying experience.
