## Facility Operations Specialist (Electrical) - GS-12

We are seeking an experienced Facility Operations Specialist with a strong electrical background to manage and maintain critical electrical systems. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, executing electrical installations and repairs, and ensuring the operational efficiency of diverse power infrastructure.

### Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Plan, install, modify, and repair various electrical systems and projects.
• Maintain and troubleshoot commercial wiring (110V, 220V, 480V), high-voltage power, substations, and switchgear.
• Operate and troubleshoot emergency generators, associated paralleling gear, uninterrupted power supplies (UPS), low voltage signal systems, elevators, closed-circuit television, and interior/exterior lighting.
• Prepare reports for cost analysis, procurement, budget execution, and contracting.

### Qualifications:

• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in electrical facility operations.
• **Skills:** Proficiency in technical electrical schematics, hands-on electrical work across varied systems, and report preparation.
• Must meet all federal eligibility requirements (e.g., time-in-grade) by the closing date.

### Work Environment:

• Regularly involves visits to industrial, storage, and construction areas.
• Requires adherence to safety protocols and use of protective clothing/gear due to moderate risks and discomforts.
