Summary

Designs and details exhibit components using CAD software, overseeing projects from fabrication through installation.

Join our team as an Exhibit CAD Designer, where you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and specifications for various exhibit components. This role involves utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to detail exact dimensions and construction specifics, supporting projects through every phase from fabrication and mount making to final installation.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Utilize CAD software to develop detailed and precise technical drawings.
  • Create comprehensive specifications outlining exact dimensions and construction details for exhibit components.
  • Provide technical support throughout all project phases, including fabrication, mount making, and installation.
  • *(For Grade 11 applicants)* Manage project timelines and resources effectively for each assignment.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • *Education (Applicable for all grades):**
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Illustrative Design, Commercial Art, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, Architecture, Drafting, Interior Design, or a closely related field.
  • Advanced training from a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute in a related field is also creditable.
  • *Specialized Experience (Grade-Specific):**
  • **Grade 09:** One year of specialized experience using CAD software to create detailed drawings and specifications for exhibit components, covering fabrication, mount making, and installation phases.
  • **Grade 11:** One year of specialized experience (as described for Grade 09) that *also* includes managing project time and resources.
  • *Alternative Education Options:**
  • **Grade 09:** Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a related field.
  • **Grade 11:** Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a related field.
  • *Combination:** A combination of qualifying education and experience may be used to meet basic qualifications.
