Summary

Lead Georgetown University's residential operations, managing housing, budget, and strategic development for over 5,400 beds.

Georgetown University seeks an Executive Director, Residential Operations & Business Development, to provide strategic leadership for its comprehensive university housing enterprise. This role manages Housing Assignments, Operations, Summer & Conference Housing, and Business Development, supporting critical university priorities including undergraduate housing, campus growth, and capital improvements across 1.5M+ sq ft of residential space.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Provide vision and leadership for all residential operations, overseeing 5,400+ beds and 11,000 summer guests.
  • Manage a $54M housing revenue and budget, including occupancy and revenue strategies.
  • Lead short- and long-term planning for housing capacity and strategic partnerships.
  • Coordinate capital planning, deferred maintenance, and facilities improvements for residential facilities.
  • Guide move-in/move-out logistics and develop marketing strategies.
  • Directly supervise two Directors and lead a team of 8 staff.
  • Ensure compliance with ADA, Title IX, Fair Housing, and equity standards.
  • Lead crisis response as a member of the Campus Emergency Response Team.
  • Collaborate with various university departments (Student Affairs, University Counsel, GUPD, etc.).
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in university housing operations.
  • Proven expertise in leadership, financial management, and occupancy management.
  • Experience with housing assignment systems (e.g., StarRez).
  • Excellent communication, planning, and crisis management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of ADA, Title IX, and Fair Housing regulations.
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Experience in residential master planning, renovation, and construction.
  • Familiarity with Jesuit, Catholic institutional values.
  • Strong background in assessment and data-driven decision-making.
  • Understanding of student learning and development theory.

  • *Salary Range:** $80,429 - $157,238.93
