## Technical Systems Maintenance Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Systems Maintenance Specialist to oversee, analyze, and optimize maintenance operations for complex equipment systems. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills to provide expert guidance and training.
### Responsibilities:
- Analyze, supervise, and improve maintenance, repair, or production operations.
- Review and apply technical specifications and requirements to various equipment.
- Forecast spare parts requirements and manage inventory for assigned systems.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, data, and work orders.
- Evaluate contract specifications and equipment to ensure compliance.
- Provide expert technical advice and recommendations through oral and written briefings, reports, and presentations to senior leadership and maintenance technicians.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure proper maintenance of assigned systems and equipment.
- Identify and analyze complex technical problems, developing innovative and effective solutions.
- Plan, organize, and re-prioritize work to meet dynamic deadlines and operational needs.
- *Education:**
- **Undergraduate:** Any field of study from an accredited college or university.
- **Graduate:** Major study in a field related to the position.
- **Specialized Experience (as listed below) can substitute for education.**
- *Experience:**
- Minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to a GS-11 level (or equivalent in other pay systems) in technical maintenance or operations.
- This experience must demonstrate a wide range of maintenance concepts, principles, and practices specific to complex systems/equipment.
- *Specialized Experience Examples:**
- Working as a skilled mechanic, maintenance worker, service engineer, planner, or estimator in a technical group focused on equipment manufacture, utilization, repair, or operation.
- Analyzing equipment, forecasting spare parts, and interpreting technical documentation (e.g., engineering change orders, requisitions).
- Analyzing contract specifications and examining equipment for compliance.
- *Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
- Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance concepts, principles, and practices for specific assigned systems/equipment.
- Understanding of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations and procedures.
- Exceptional skill in providing clear and concise technical advice and recommendations, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships and work effectively within a team.
- Adept at analyzing and interpreting complex engineering drawings, technical manuals, and data.
- Strong capability in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex technical problems through innovative solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks to meet changing deadlines.
- Proficiency in developing and conducting effective training programs.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
