Environmental Protection Specialist (Public Notice Flyer)

We are seeking a highly experienced Environmental Specialist to serve as a principal advisor and technical expert on environmental matters within a federal agency. This role involves ensuring compliance, providing guidance, and managing environmental programs.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Serve as the agency's lead technical expert and principal advisor on environmental compliance, legislation, environmental impact statements, and NEPA compliance.
• Provide environmental assistance, direction, training, and guidance to internal staff and grant recipients.
• Coordinate proposed projects with appropriate federal and/or state regulatory agencies.
• Implement and manage the agency's environmental programs.
• *Qualifications (GS-13 Level):**
• One year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service.
• Specialized experience includes expertise in environmental compliance, environmental legislation, environmental impact statements, NEPA compliance, grants, and providing environmental assistance. Experience may be paid or unpaid, including volunteer work.
