Job Description

Summary

Seeking interdisciplinary engineers/scientists to develop and test high-temperature reentry composite materials.

This interdisciplinary position is open to candidates with backgrounds in General Engineering, Physical Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science.

  • *Key Responsibilities & Experience:**
  • Requires at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to a Federal GS-12/13 level.
  • Apply principles of high-temperature reentry composite materials, or materials development/testing, to develop or test composite materials.
  • *Qualifying experience may include:**
  • Proficiency in computer analysis techniques, including finite element analysis and modeling for high-temperature material response.
  • Ability to utilize and adapt advanced theories and practices in high-temperature reentry materials and related scientific disciplines.
  • Broad knowledge of engineering/physical sciences combined with extensive experience in the advanced development and testing of high-temperature composite materials.
Relevant paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work, will be considered.
