GEICO seeks an Engineer II to develop high-performance, UI-focused systems using C#, .NET, and Azure cloud technologies.
GEICO is seeking an experienced Engineer II to drive insurance business transformation by building high-performance, low-latency platforms and applications, ensuring a frictionless customer experience.
- *About the Role:**
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and build scalable, resilient distributed systems, primarily focusing on front-end UI development while contributing to back-end integration.
- Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in design sessions and code reviews to enhance engineering quality.
- Utilize C#, Dart, SQL, .Net, Flutter, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and various Azure tools/services.
- Share best practices and improve processes within and across teams.
- Drive product definition and technical solution development.
- *Required Qualifications & Experience:**
- 2+ years of professional software development experience in C# and .NET frameworks.
- 2+ years of experience in architecture and design (patterns, reliability, scaling).
- 2+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
- 2+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- Fluency in C# or similar modern object-oriented language (Java, C++).
- In-depth knowledge of Computer Science data structures and algorithms.
- Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe).
- Understanding of HTML-5, JavaScript/TypeScript, XML, JSON, and RESTful Web Services.
- Intermediate PowerShell scripting skills.
- Understanding of Azure PaaS/IaaS services, Azure Network (security zones, VNETs, Public Peered Services), and Operational Portals (Azure Portal).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Titan, Application Insights).
- Strong problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- *Education:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education/work experience.
- *Salary Range:**
- $80,000.00 - $160,000.00 annually. (Actual salary may vary based on experience, education, location, and market factors.)
