Engineer/Developer - Software Hardware Research-Mid To Expert Level (Maryland)

The following qualifications are the minimum required for consideration:

• *Minimum Education:**
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Degrees in Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Security, Networking (Systems Administration), Information Assurance, or Cybersecurity may be considered if they include strong foundational coursework in:

* Algorithms * Computer Architecture (not network architecture) * Programming Methodologies and Languages * Data Structures * Logic and Computation * Upper-level Mathematics (e.g., calculus, discrete mathematics)

• *Relevant Experience:**

Experience must be in one or more of the following areas:

• Engineering hardware or software throughout its full lifecycle (requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, integration, deployment/installation, and maintenance).
• Programming.
• Vulnerability analysis.
• Penetration testing.
• Computer forensics.
• Systems engineering.
• Military training in a relevant area, such as JCAC (Joint Cyber Analysis course), will be considered towards the experience requirement (e.g., a 24-week JCAC course counts as 6 months of experience).
• *Experience Levels:**
• **Full Performance:**

* Bachelor's degree + 3 years of relevant experience * Master's degree + 1 year of relevant experience * Doctoral degree + 0 years of relevant experience * Associate's degree + 5 years of in-depth, clearly related experience

• **Senior:**

* Bachelor's degree + 6 years of relevant experience * Master's degree + 4 years of relevant experience * Doctoral degree + 2 years of relevant experience * Associate's degree + 8 years of in-depth, clearly related experience

• **Expert:**

* Bachelor's degree + 9 years of relevant experience * Master's degree + 7 years of relevant experience * Doctoral degree + 5 years of relevant experience * Associate's degree + 11 years of in-depth, clearly related experience
