Summary
Lead emergency response planning, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide critical guidance for disaster operations.
We are seeking an Emergency Management Specialist (Response) at the IC-13 level to lead critical disaster preparedness and response efforts. This role requires an experienced professional adept at stakeholder collaboration, plan development, and expert guidance during emergency operations.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with Federal, State, Local, and Tribal stakeholders in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) to produce essential disaster deliverables (e.g., situational reports, resource requests, preliminary damage assessments).
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive emergency management response plans.
- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders during emergencies on topics such as response operations, planning gap analysis, crisis action planning, and disaster communications.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the IC-12 level in the Federal government.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Experience may be gained in federal, state, local government, or the private sector.
- Qualifying volunteer experience is recognized.
