Job Description

Summary

Provide technical guidance and analyze recovery processes as an Emergency Management Specialist, supporting disaster survivors.

Join our team as an Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) at the IC-11 level, focusing on disaster recovery efforts. This role requires explaining policies, providing critical technical guidance to disaster survivors, and developing clear written communications. You will also analyze and recommend improvements for processes and procedures to enhance recovery operations.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Provide technical guidance and explain policies to disaster survivors.
  • Develop clear and concise written correspondence conveying technical guidance.
  • Analyze existing processes and procedures, recommending improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the IC-09 federal level, demonstrating proficiency in the responsibilities listed above. This experience can be gained in federal, state, local, or private sectors.
  • **Education (one of the following):**
* Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. * Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a doctoral degree. * LL.M. (Master of Laws). * A combination of qualifying education and experience.
