Manage disaster recovery grant programs, resolve conflicts, and apply project management skills for effective emergency response.
This Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position focuses on managing disaster recovery grant programs. **Key Responsibilities:** **IC-12 Level:** * Develop responses to technical or programmatic conflicts related to disaster grant programs. * Provide guidance on disaster grants and their delivery. * Apply project management and facilitation skills to relevant projects. **IC-13 Level (in addition to or at a higher level than IC-12):** * Review and approve responses to technical or programmatic conflicts within the Public Assistance disaster grants program. * Review Federal grants to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, enhancing decision-making. * Provide comprehensive project management and facilitation for complex projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. **Qualifications:** * **IC-12:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the Federal IC-11 level, demonstrating skills in developing responses to grant conflicts, providing grant guidance, and applying project management. * **IC-13:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the Federal IC-12 level, demonstrating skills in reviewing/approving grant conflict responses, reviewing grants for compliance, and leading complex project management. * Experience may be gained in federal, state, local government, or the private sector. Experience includes paid and unpaid work (e.g., volunteer programs) that builds relevant competencies.
