Summary

Supports disaster recovery efforts through stakeholder collaboration, information management, and policy development for federal programs.

The Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) plays a critical role in supporting disaster recovery operations and federal award programs. This position involves managing vital information, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to essential policies and communications.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Develop and deliver clear written and oral correspondence, briefs, and instructional presentations.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to collect, manage, and track critical information for disaster assistance and federal award programs.
  • Maintain and update policy, process, and job aid documentation to ensure operational efficiency.
  • *Qualifications (Applicants may qualify at the IC-09 or IC-11 level):**
  • *IC-09 Level Requirements:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the IC-07 level, demonstrating:
* Assistance in developing written correspondence. * Collaboration with stakeholders for information collection, management, or tracking. * Assistance in maintaining policy, process, or job aids.
  • **or Education:** A Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education, or an LL.B./J.D. (if related).
  • **or Combination:** An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • *IC-11 Level Requirements:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the IC-09 level, demonstrating:
* Development and/or delivery of written and oral correspondence, briefs, or instructional presentations. * Collaboration with stakeholders to collect, manage, and track information for disaster assistance or federal award programs. * Maintenance of policy, process, or job aids.
  • **or Education:** A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education, or an LL.M. (if related).
  • **or Combination:** An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience can be obtained in federal, state, local government, or the private sector, and includes both paid and qualifying volunteer work.
